Landscape Architect

Job Description

Position Details:

Alaback Design is seeking a full time, salaried licensed landscape architect for 100% in-office work. The primary role will be to assist the firm on a wide range of projects, by managing designated projects, including but not limited to designing, drafting, preparing construction documents, and coordinating construction administration efforts. The candidate will be expected to represent Alaback Design on client and design team meetings with other design disciplines.

While candidate skills are extremely important, we are also looking for someone who compliments the boutique team at Alaback Design. Candidate must be detail oriented, creative, and flexible, willing to switch gears often to adapt to ever shifting client deadlines and team goals.

Position Details:

· Full-time salaried employee (40 hours).

Candidate Requirements:

· Bachelor or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program.

· A minimum of 8 years professional experience at a landscape architecture firm including experience working as a project manager and preparing construction documents.

· Excellent written, verbal, and inter-personal communication skills.

· A positive attitude, with a self-driven & collaborative work ethic.

· Ability to work independently or as part of a team to meet client deadlines.

· Detail oriented person committed to contributing to a positive work environment.

· Highly Proficient with AutoCAD (We utilize LandFX, but AutoCAD knowledge is sufficient for the position LandFX can be trained).

· Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc).

· Aptitude with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop & InDesign).

· Aptitude with Graphic Skills (digital and hand graphics).

· Experience with all phases of design and construction.

· Basic knowledge of local plant material.

· Sketch Up experience is desired, but not required.
