Under the supervision of the Site Administrator and Manager of School Nursing, the traveling nurse works with students and the entire school community supporting health needs such as medication administration, first aid, immunization compliance, and workers compensation documentation, etc. Computer use for tasks such as email, submitting attachments, reports, online supply orders, etc.
Minimum QualificationsEducation:
- Associate’s degree in nursing; must complete bachelor’s degree within ten (10) years from the initial issuance of Oklahoma teaching certificate
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc.:
- Licensed Registered Nurse
- Oklahoma School Nurse Certification
- Valid certification in First Aid/CPR/AED
- Two (2) years’ school nurse experience a plus
- Two (2) years’ supervisory experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Office Suite
- Bilingual in Spanish a plus
