• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn
• Assist in the daily operations of all classrooms as a substitute teacher ensuring rituals, routines and schedules are followed
• Build and maintain professional relationships with peers, families, volunteers and community partners to encourage collaboration, reflection, family engagement, and high quality teaching practices
• Complete teacher’s responsibilities in the absence of classroom staff
• Assist with required documentation including, but not limited to: monthly reports, attendance, meal count, family contact logs and child injury reports as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned or required to assist with maintaining high standards in the school
• Work requires bending, stooping, lifting, squatting, kneeling, crawling, stretching, pushing and pulling throughout the day and the ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds

• Infant, toddler and preschool development
• Adapting to constant change while being positive, supportive and helpful
• Following oral and written instructions with ability to read, interpret, and present information
• Accurately audit records and ensure compliance with written or oral guidelines
• Taking initiative, multi‑task and work well under pressure
• Must be driven to follow Tulsa Educare’s Shared Values:

• Must have high‑school diploma or GED
• Previous experience working in an accredited child care facility with children birth to five years of age

• Classroom position with some local travel (exposure to normal traffic hazards). Regular and reliable attendance required
