Teacher for the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing – $42/hr – Oklahoma City, OK – Full-time

We are seeking a Teacher for the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing to instruct students in academic subjects using regular or adapted curriculum to meet individual needs. This role includes whole-class and small-group instruction, behavior monitoring, and lesson preparation to ensure effective learning for deaf and hard-of-hearing students.

• Pay Rate: $42/hr

• Prepare lessons and instructional materials
• Provide whole-class and small-group instruction
• Monitor student behavior during all activities
• Adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs
• Use sign language and amplification devices as needed

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred)
• Valid state teaching certificate
• Knowledge of Sign Language and amplification devices
• ASL proficiency exam or certification may be required
• Experience with deaf and hard-of-hearing students preferred
• Current CPR (if applicable)
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest X-ray (if applicable)
• Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
