Due to continued growth, we are now looking to recruit a CAD Engineer / BIM Coordinator to join our team based at our offices in Burton on Trent.

The CAD Engineer /BIM Coordinator will be responsible for supporting project delivery by managing the coordination, production, and quality of digital design information using CAD and BIM tools. You will ensure that all MEP services are accurately modeled and coordinated with architectural and structural elements across a range of projects.

• Produce, manage, and coordinate accurate 2D and 3D MEP models using AutoCAD and Revit, in line with project requirements.
• Support project teams in the implementation and use of BIM standards, protocols, and workflows.
• Lead clash detection processes using Navisworks (or similar software) and coordinate resolutions with internal and external design teams.
• Liaise with engineers, designers, and subcontractors to ensure the successful integration of all services within the BIM model.
• Maintain compliance with client BIM Execution Plans (BEP), and contribute to their development when necessary.
• Ensure all drawings and models are issued in accordance with project deadlines and document control procedures.
• Develop and maintain BIM content libraries and CAD standards for consistent and efficient output.
• Provide technical support and training to project teams on CAD/BIM tools and workflows.
• Participate in coordination meetings and contribute to design reviews and technical discussions.
• Support the transition from design to construction, including model handover, fabrication-level detailing, and coordination with site teams.

• Proven experience as a CAD Engineer /BIM Coordinator or similar role in the MEP sector.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) and construction sequencing.
• Experience in clash detection and resolution using federated models.
• Familiarity with BIM Level 2 standards and ISO 19650 workflows.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Experience working for an MEP contractor on design & build projects.
• Knowledge of fabrication software such as Autodesk Fabrication CADmep or Trimble Sys Que.
• Experience with CDE platforms (e.g., BIM 360, Viewpoint, Asite).
• Understanding of COBie data and asset information requirements.
