A Day In The LifeA technical sales role encompasses a wide variety of tasks; no two days are identical. Projects span design, procurement, coordination, and post‑sale support.
Typical Tasks- Outside sales meetings and calls with existing and new customers.
- Application engineering – applying products using sound engineering principles.
- Project management – managing schedules and plans to ensure timely equipment installation.
- Service and technical support of existing equipment.
- Assisting contractors with wiring on site and providing remote troubleshooting for kitchen staff.
- Provide integrated application engineering and design support for a wide range of ventilation applications.
- Work directly with engineers, contractors, end users, and food service dealers.
- Perform inside sales support, application engineering, and outside sales duties.
- Present, quote, submit, and provide technical product support; conduct site visits and troubleshoot.
- Educate and promote Captive Aire products through calls, meetings, presentations, and demos.
- Research and develop new business opportunities.
- Deliver top‑notch customer service and go above and beyond to serve the customer.
- Prioritize quick turnaround times.
- Continuously evaluate and improve processes and customer experience.
- 0‑5 years experience.
- 4‑year technical degree in mechanical, electrical, construction, or science‑oriented curriculum preferred.
- Excellent computer, organizational, and communication/presentation skills.
- Problem‑solving with a passion for continuous learning.
- Strong desire to interface with the customer.
- Embrace new technologies and business savvy.
- Passion for work and aggressive nature to succeed.
- Willingness to travel for training opportunities.
- Expectation of FE Exam completion within 6 months of employment (for engineering graduates).
