Job Description
The Applications Engineer position will be based out of Zeeco’s BA office/Zeeco Global Locations. The position requires knowledge of Zeeco products, focusing on Offshore division products and technical requirements. Responsibilities include proposal management across all Zeeco disciplines to ensure comprehensive offerings with high potential for award and contract.
Job Duties:
- Analyze and interpret customer inquiries, including specifications, to design and specify appropriate equipment.
- Travel to customer facilities for site support and technical review.
- Assist with technical development and risk assessment of customer inquiries.
- Develop cost estimates following established guidelines.
- Set product pricing using company-established mark-up and commission schedules.
- Determine required drawings for quotations and coordinate their completion.
- Prepare, edit, and issue formal quotations to customers.
- Follow up on customer correspondence during the quotation phase.
- Discuss and negotiate proposals with customers post-issuance.
- Provide status reports on proposal activities to management.
- Assist in creating and modifying sales presentations and documents using Microsoft Office, Adobe, and web-based systems.
- Collaborate with management to identify skills and tools needed for continuous improvement.
- Perform additional duties as assigned based on skills and experience.
Qualifications:
- B.S. in Mechanical, Chemical, or related Engineering field.
- 5+ years of industry experience, including sales or industry roles.
- Experience with Combustion Products/Offshore packaged equipment is a plus.
