Position: Integrity/ Corrosion Technician - Chicago, IL

Audubon is seeking an Integrity/Corrosion Technician in Chicago, IL. The role involves managing pipeline integrity and corrosion field activities in accordance with AFS and client standards, including cathodic protection, internal corrosion, AC/DC interference, and atmospheric corrosion.

Must have NACE Cathodic Protection Tester (CP1) or Cathodic Protection Technician (CP2) certification.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Support the Pipeline Integrity Department with field data collection and project support.
  • Provide accurate survey data to office personnel promptly.
  • Follow Audubon and operator procedures during field operations.
  • Coordinate daily with the office on assigned jobs.
  • Ensure all field survey data meet client specifications.
  • Work with project management for timely project execution.
  • Maintain organized schedules and documentation.
Experience and Skills Requirements
  • Preferred: AAS in Pipeline Integrity or Corrosion.
  • Required:

    NACE CP1 or CP2 certification.
  • At least 2 years of pipeline integrity and corrosion experience.
  • Experience with Close Interval Survey, DCVG, ACVG, Data Logger, PCM equipment.
  • Knowledge of soil resistivity testing and pipe-to-soil measurements.
  • Experience installing and repairing Test Stations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Detail-oriented with effective communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license, clean record, reliable transportation.
  • Physical requirements include standing, walking, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Willing to travel up to 100%, including weekends and holidays.
