Senior Civil Engineer

Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Civil Engineer to join their multi‑state civil design practice. You’ll lead site‑development projects across local, regional and national markets (lower 48 states), serving Federal, municipal, retail, commercial, healthcare and industrial clients. This role offers both technical leadership on large, multi‑discipline programs and mentorship of junior engineers and designers.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead the technical delivery of site development projects: scope definition, feasibility studies, design proposals, engineering reports and construction‑phase support.
Develop and maintain QA / QC checklists, production drawing templates and Civil 3D modeling standards.
Prepare cost estimates and proposals; participate in client presentations and city / county development reviews.
Coordinate with geotechnical and survey teams; conduct site visits and document existing conditions.
Mentor civil designers and technicians; drive continuous improvement in workflows and standards.
QualificationsBachelors (or Masters) Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program.
Professional Engineer (PE) license in multiple states (required).
5–10 years of site‑civil design experience, including architectural / build‑environment projects.
Expert proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
Strong understanding of local codes, industry illustration standards and Federal Facility Criteria.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to engage clients and regulators.
Comfortable estimating fees, preparing proposals and accommodating occasional overnight travel.
