Operations Engineer, Operations Manager
Job Summary
We are seeking a Project Scheduler / Project Coordinator to support Project Managers (PMs) and coordinate team activities for major projects in the Tulsa OK area. Responsibilities include schedule maintenance, collecting progress data, developing and implementing schedule/status reports, and providing accurate information to senior management. Essential Job Functions- Define activities, durations, work sequences, and relationship logic to develop and implement scope of work plans.
- Develop fully integrated outage schedules using critical path methodology.
- Mentor junior schedulers and coordinate schedule review meetings with stakeholders.
- Communicate schedule status and alert teams to risks and potential delays.
- Maintain and manage project schedules and related administrative standards.
- Perform schedule and cost integration, including SPI/CPI processes.
- Provide risk assessments and mitigation recommendations.
- Train junior schedulers in schedule analysis, metric reporting, and scenario planning.
- Education:
- High School Diploma/GED + 7 years relevant experience, or
- Associate’s degree + 5 years relevant experience, or
- Bachelor’s degree + 3 years relevant experience.
- Experience:
- 5+ years Primavera experience required.
- Utility-specific operations knowledge preferred.
- Experience in design, operations, planning, project management, cost tracking, forecasting, budgets, construction or maintenance of systems/equipment.
- Licenses/Certifications:
- Professional or trade certification (CCMP, CETa, IQCP, PMP, RMP) required if candidate has only a high school diploma or non-qualified degree; preferred otherwise.
- Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including complex spreadsheet development.
- Ability to work independently with general supervision.
- Travel to regional plants required during outages.
- Ability to perform light physical duties at various work sites, including construction site walkdowns, climbing ladders, and awareness of hazardous conditions.
- Flexibility for overtime, call-outs, and shift work.
