We are Olsson, a team-based, purpose-driven engineering and design firm. Our solutions improve communities, and our people make it possible. We are looking for an experienced and driven individual to join our Construction Materials Testing Team.
Position:
Senior Construction Materials and Testing (CMT) Technician
- Independently collect construction materials samples from various construction sites.
- Perform tests and inspections to assess properties and integrity of materials using specialized equipment and established procedures and standards.
- Document findings and communicate results to project managers and other stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making and maintain structural integrity and safety.
- Travel to job sites around the Oklahoma City and/or Tulsa area metro and work in all types of terrain and weather conditions.
- Use of a company truck for transportation to and from job sites.
- Applicable PPE (personal protective equipment) provided.
- Company issued laptop.

- Receive fully paid training, participate in mentorship, and gain hands-on experience shadowing seasoned professionals.

- Ability to contribute and work well on a team.
- Associate degree from a technical or four-year school preferred, but not required.
- 6+ years' experience in construction observation or inspection.
- ICC, ACI Grade I, Nuclear Gauge certifications required OR a bachelor’s degree in engineering with EIT.
- The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving history.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
