We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our Projects team within our Shipbuilding division. This critical role offers the opportunity to contribute directly to the lifecycle of shipbuilding projects, driving operational excellence and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage shipbuilding projects from conception through completion, ensuring alignment with technical specifications and customer requirements.
- Coordinate cross-functional project teams including design, engineering, procurement, production, and quality assurance to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, monitoring progress and implementing risk mitigation strategies as needed.
- Maintain stringent quality control practices, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to manage expectations and foster strong working relationships.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the continuous enhancement of project management methodologies within the shipbuilding division.
- Prepare comprehensive reports, documentation, and presentations on project status for senior management.
- Degree in Marine Engineering or an engineering related field
- Proven experience in shipbuilding project management or a similar technical project leadership role within the maritime or heavy engineering sector.
- Strong understanding of shipbuilding processes, engineering principles, and maritime standards.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software for scheduling, budgeting, and documentation.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead diverse teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, adapt to change, and deliver results within tight deadlines.
- Location:
16 Benoi Road (Island-wide transport provided) - 5 days work week
- Working Hours:
7.25am-5pm
