Job Summary: Supports network planning and engineering activities with a focus on Outside Plant (OSP) strategies for efficient capacity utilization and route planning. This role contributes to market-level planning efforts aimed at reducing network inefficiencies and optimizing assets to support growth. Works collaboratively with cross‑functional teams to ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverables.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the development and evaluation of OSP/ISP construction plans and network reconfigurations.
- Support cost estimation and implementation of network projects.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams for audits, engineering reviews, and implementation activities.
- Analyze local and wide area network systems to support planning and design decisions.
- Provide technical input for project requirements and specifications.
- Participate in capacity planning and design at DS1 and SONET levels.
- Contribute to network consolidation efforts within facilities.
- Prepare reports and assist with automation initiatives.
- Apply business analytics to support planning decisions and communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years of experience in OSP network planning, engineering, or construction.
- Familiarity with cost estimation and budgeting for network projects.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Proficient in written and verbal communication.
- Experience with capacity planning and network design principles.
- Project coordination experience preferred.
