Position:
Cost Accountant
Fuse3 Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to join a rapidly expanding manufacturing company. This role is responsible for tracking, analyzing, and controlling costs related to company operations, ensuring accurate reporting, and providing insights that support decision‑making. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, excellent Excel and ERP system skills, and the ability to work across departments to improve financial performance.
Responsibilities- Analyze costs of manufacturing, operations, and projects to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Prepare and review cost reports, variance analyses, and profitability studies.
- Maintain and reconcile inventory and cost of goods sold accounts.
- Monitor standard costs, identify variances, and investigate discrepancies.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Develop and improve cost accounting systems, controls, and reporting tools.
- Support management with cost analysis for pricing, investment, and operational decisions.
- Partner with operations, procurement, and finance teams to optimize cost efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial policies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2–5 years of cost accounting or related accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing, distribution, or project‑based industries.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and inventory management.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Net Suite, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience with variance analysis, margin analysis, and cost allocation.
- Familiarity with process improvements and cost‑saving initiatives.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to present financial data to non‑finance stakeholders.
The salary range for the Cost Accountant starts at $75k/year and goes up based on experience.
