OpportunityOur Sales and Use Tax Lookback Review COE is a national team that leads large multi-state, sales and use tax recovery projects for EY’s largest clients. It’s a place where you’ll develop as a multi-state tax practitioner, taking on new skills and responsibilities while benefiting from dedicated mentors and training programs.
Key Responsibilities- Work on diverse sales and use tax recovery projects across multiple industries.
- Provide up-to-the-minute tax advice to clients, ensuring reliability and credibility.
- Collaborate in a highly cooperative culture, sharing and listening for continuous improvement.
- Research and understand client business operations and build long-lasting relationships.
- Identify applicable sales and use tax exemptions and exclusions.
- Spot potential over payment opportunities or risks and communicate findings.
- Stay current on tax law changes to maintain advisor credibility.
- Develop clear, intelligent plans for sales and use tax recoveries.
- Prepare and defend sales and use tax refund claims.
- Participate in a motivated professional team.
- Manage team members, ensuring skills, knowledge, and growth opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline.
- Professional knowledge across broad sales and use tax processes, concepts, and tools.
- Experience managing budgets, people, and projects.
- Proven record of excellence in a professional services or tax organization.
- Technical writing and research experience in a tax context.
- Ability to prioritize multiple complex projects.
- Strong influencing skills and confidence to question existing processes.
- Willingness to travel as needed and work in a balanced hybrid environment.
- Achieved CPA qualification, membership in the Institute for Professionals in Taxation, CMI designation, or state bar membership.

What We Offer You- Comprehensive compensation with a base salary ranging from $105,100 to $192,600 in the U.S., with higher ranges for major metros.
