We’re seeking a customer-focused, detail-oriented Teller II to join our retail banking team. As a Teller II, you’ll be on the front lines assisting customers with a wide range of banking products and services. This role combines teller responsibilities with new account operations, offering a dynamic opportunity to grow your banking career while delivering exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities- Provide professional, courteous, and efficient service to customers in‑branch and over the phone.
- Promote bank products and services by identifying customer needs and making appropriate referrals.
- Resolve customer inquiries and account issues promptly and professionally.
- Open and maintain consumer deposit and savings accounts.
- Perform account maintenance, including debit card functions, stop payments, and wire transactions.
- Review and verify new accounts for accuracy and compliance.
- Process teller transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Balance cash drawer daily and maintain transaction logs.
- Identify and follow procedures for placing holds and verifying endorsements.
- Assist with training new Universal Bankers.
- Travel between branches as needed to support operations.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment with peers and leadership.
- Stay current on banking regulations and security practices.
- Recognize and respond to red flags such as fraud, scams, and phishing attempts.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 6 months to 1 year of banking experience (including cash handling and customer service).
- Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation.
- Strong communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in navigating multiple computer systems.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
- 2 years of banking experience
