Accounting Analyst III Responsibilities/Expectations- Performs assigned month-end activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, management reporting, and variance analysis
- Prepares, maintains and develops schedules, reports, and analyses for internal/external customers
- Provides requested documentation and clear explanations for audit processes
- Participates in small projects with minimal mentorship and acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience
- Processes and analyses significant amounts of data, including issues and transactions
- Other duties as assigned
- Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related major with a strong accounting focus and minimum four (4) years experience in accounting in the energy industry - Preferred: CPA
- Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications
- Promotes effective cross-functional communication and collaboration within the team and across departments
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and financial skills
- Preferred:
Familiarity with US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Performs assigned month-end activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, management reporting, SEC reporting and variance analysis
- Prepares, maintains and develops schedules, reports, and analyses for internal/external customers
- Provides requested documentation and clear explanations for both internal and external audit processes
- Participates as a project team member and a resource for colleagues with less experience
- Processes and analyzes significant amounts of data while identifying opportunities for process improvement with a focus on efficiency and automation
- Other duties as assigned
- Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related major with a strong accounting focus and minimum two (2) years experience in accounting in the energy industry - Preferred: CPA
