Provide police communications and dispatching, maintains police files and records, and perform a wide variety of complex clerical and typing duties requiring specialized knowledge in the police field.

• Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls, determining the level and nature of police assistance required.
• Simultaneously running various software applications, such as alarm systems and camera interfaces.
• Operate OLETS/CJIS for police department investigations.
• Operate phone systems and radio communication.
• Document via CAD all activity police department takes action on.
• Attend continuing education classes for dispatchers.
• Provide service and protection to all TCC students, staff, and structures.

• Obtain and maintain OLETS certification.
• One year Law Enforcement Dispatch experience.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Visual and hearing acuity, stamina for extended periods of sitting or standing, and the ability to handle repetitive tasks.
• Need to be able to type accurately and quickly, use computers, and communicate clearly under pressure.
• Ability to work 12 hour shifts in a Dispatch center including but not limited to nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Require to not currently be under an Internal Affairs Investigation from any duly recognized law enforcement agency for any reason.
• Require to not have been convicted of a felony or a crime of moral turpitude.
