Position SummaryThe Registered Dietitian helps to provide a nutritionally balanced and cost‑efficient food services program that meets the needs of students while maintaining compliance with all local guidelines related to nutrition regulations. Utilizing technical training and government‑mandated nutritional standards on food health, the Dietitian develops healthy menu implementation plans and is integrally involved in the development/execution of cycle menus. Required to work in tandem with Management and individual/cap school administration.
Minimum Qualifications Education- Bachelor’s degree in nutrition, dietetics, or a related field
- Registered Dietitian with Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR):
Successful completion of ACEND internship program, satisfactory exam score, and fulfillment of continuing education requirements - Master’s degree preferred
- One (1) year experience in K‑12 or higher education food service
- Previous experience with automated food production systems and nutrition analysis software
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Office Suite
- Food safety knowledge with Serv Safe certification and food allergy knowledge with Aller Train certification; must be obtained within 6 weeks of hire date
- Possess or ability to obtain and maintain applicable additional certifications, registrations, licenses, or credentials
- Possess or ability to obtain an Oklahoma Food Handler’s permit
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
