  • Individuals within this job classification are accountable for providing assistance under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Registered Technologist.
  • The Medical Assistant must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
  • This individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to function in an assistive role to provide patient care.
  • This individual must also understand the workflow of the department and perform functions to support that workflow.
Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Graduate of a Medical Assisting program, has RMA, CMA or A  credentials or demonstrated Medical Assistant experience for more than 3 years.
    • For OHI clinics, EMT/Paramedics meet the qualifications for hire.
  • Must be knowledgeable of medical terminology, routine office procedures and medical instruments.
  • Must be skilled in the taking of vital signs.
