* Job Description:

** Phlebotomist Clerical Support Obtains blood specimens, in a courteous and professional manner, from patients of all age ranges.
*
* SKILLS AND ABILITIES

*** Demonstrates the ability to use a personal computer and various software programs applicable to the position
* Demonstrates the ability to operate applicable office equipment
* Exhibits the ability to deal effectively interdepartmentally & with the public
* Exhibits the ability to maintain confidentiality, think and act independently with minimal supervision in all situations including traumas
* Must have legible handwriting
* Maintains regular, consistent and punctual attendance at the assigned job location
** EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES/DEGREES
*** High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
* Registered as a Certified Laboratory Phlebotomist with a national certification agency for medical laboratory personnel or the American Society for Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or show proof of pending recertification preferred
** EXPERIENCE
* ** Working knowledge of, but not limited to: HIS and LIS computer Systems and related equipment, 5-line telephone, Vacutainer System-syringes, butterfly needles, safety needles, finger-heelstick devices, autoclave and bar code printers preferred
