Overview
This Therapist position carries NO Caseloads. The role supports crisis services that divert individuals in behavioral health crises from inpatient hospitalization, jail, and emergency rooms. The COPES team provides telephone and mobile crisis triage, assessment, and stabilization, with field visits when needed. The position includes extensive training before field work and ongoing training to ensure safety and confidence in helping clients.
This role may include shift and weekend premiums where applicable.
Provide telephone crisis triage, assessment, and stabilization within a supportive environment.
When required, travel to crisis locations with a team and police presence to deescalate and stabilize individuals in need.
Engage in ongoing training and professional development to maintain comfort and safety in a crisis-centered environment.
Partner with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated care under the Community Outreach Psychiatric Emergency Services (COPES) model.
Qualifications- A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or equivalent from an accredited school.
- Must be licensed as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the State of Oklahoma or under supervision for licensure.
- Proficiency in identifying and treating mental disorders.
- Experience in mental health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning; ability to make quick and accurate clinical assessments.
- Knowledge of crisis intervention and understanding of 43A, Oklahoma Mental Health Law.
- Competence in conducting risk assessments for suicidal and other high-risk individuals.
- Ability to remain calm and document events in emergency situations.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, crisis-centered environment.
- Valid Driver License and satisfactory driving record.

You will be working in an innovative and dynamic environment using a new transformative model of care Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC). This model is characterized by a team-based approach and whole-person care for adults and children with complex mental health and substance use challenges.
- Utilizing multi-disciplinary teams to provide coordinated client recovery efforts.
- Increased access to care and crisis services.
- Expanded traditional community mental health and substance use services.
- Added care coordination and physical health screening for mental health clients.
- Greater access to social services for clients’ economic and social needs.
- Increased specialized services for veterans, those most in need, and those impacted by the opioid crisis.
Drug Free Workplace Policy:
This job is classified as a “safety-sensitive” position. Possession of a medical marijuana license will not exclude any applicant; however, all employees are subject to the agency’s Drug Free Workplace Policy.
- Salary: $82,000/year for licensed therapists/counselors, $72,000/year for therapists/counselors under supervision.
- Sign-on Bonus: $5,000 - $8,000.
- Plus $5,000 Program Premium with shift differentials and weekend premiums.
