What You’ll DoAs a Reliever Pharmacist, you will often travel to provide backup support for our pharmacy network in the Hunter and Mid-Coast region by providing Pharmacist coverage during staff leave or periods of increased demand at the following sites:
- Epic Pharmacy Newcastle – Newcastle Private Hospital
- Slade Pharmacy Maitland – Maitland Private Hospital
- Slade Pharmacy Lingard – Lingard Private Hospital
- Slade Pharmacy Toronto – Toronto Private Hospital
- Slade Pharmacy Hunter Valley – Hunter Valley Private Hospital
- Slade Pharmacy Forster – Forster Private Hospital
- Slade Pharmacy Taree – Mayo Private Hospital
Unlike traditional locum roles, which can involve uncertain work schedules and periods of unemployment, this is a stable, permanent position. When not providing relief cover, you’ll be based at Maitland Private Hospital.
Travel allowances, accommodation as well as additional benefits will also be provided where applicable.
This role offers a unique opportunity to gain experience across a variety of pharmacy settings and access to multidisciplinary services, including oncology and clinical pharmacy. With the support of our collaborative teams, you will receive the right training and support to succeed.
Key responsibilities (may vary according to site)- Conduct medication chart reviews and medication reconciliation
- Dispense and supply medication and pharmacy products
- Coordinate patient medication requirements for inpatient stay, day infusions and discharge
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with key stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service to clients and patients
