Radiologic Technologist (PRN Days) - Mammography

Under the direction of the Radiology Clinical Coordinator, this position operates mammography, radiographic, and bone density equipment safely and proficiently. The candidate must be a graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology. Registry with the American Registry of Radiologists (ARRT) is required. An advanced ARRT registry in Mammography is preferred.

• Produce high-quality mammograms with minimal repeats.
• Communicate with physicians, patients, families, and ancillary hospital personnel.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives.
• Assist with day-to-day operations of the department as needed.
• Perform various complex and routine mammography exams; assist with invasive procedures; troubleshoot equipment.
• Handle patient support equipment (e.g., IV pumps, oxygen tanks).
• Clean the room and equipment; order supplies; process images; provide basic patient care.
• CPR is required.
• Provide care appropriate to the age of patients served; understand growth and development over the life span and assess data to identify age-specific needs; follow the department's competency plan.
