Job Description
Field Access Manager (FAM) serves as the subject‑matter expert on access related issues for healthcare professionals (HCPs) and healthcare organizations (HCOs). The FAM works cross‑functionally with patient support, market access, and field sales to support timely patient access to therapy, providing information on access processes, reimbursement issues, and patient assistance programs while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide education to HCP accounts on patient access, including benefit verification, prior authorization, appeals, and patient support programs in live and virtual formats.
- Analyze access trends and payer dynamics.
- Partner cross‑functionally to identify and address barriers to patient access and support patient satisfaction.
- Build collaborative, trusted relationships with internal stakeholders to facilitate patient access.
- Monitor payer trends and address access barriers.
- Escalate and coordinate access issues with third parties, including hub vendors.
- Provide education on Specialty Pharmacy issues.
- Educate HCPs on product coverage under commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid benefit designs.
- Maintain deep knowledge of regional and national market dynamics and payer coverage policies.
- Support patient access by providing expertise on payer coverage issues in compliance with policies and SOPs.
- Educate HCP offices on hub programs, including patient support offerings, financial assistance, and educational resources.
- Attend national and regional meetings.
- Bachelor’s degree; 7+ years’ experience in patient support, healthcare sales or operations, project management, or reimbursement support.
- Strong knowledge of Medicare Part B, Medicaid, commercial insurance structures and related access processes.
- Expertise in pharmaceutical compliance and HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to engage diverse stakeholders across teams and disciplines.
- Understanding of hub and patient support activities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a hybrid environment with 20‑25% travel; must reside in the assigned territory/metro area.
- Team player collaborating with sales representatives and leadership to reach common goals.
- At least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Pharmaceutical industry experience.
- Deep understanding of HCP office workflows, prescription flow, and clinic operations; pulmonology experience preferred.

Location & Work ArrangementTerritories:
Oklahoma City OK, Tulsa OK, Little Rock AR. Hybrid: remote/field‑based with 75% travel. No relocation; valid driving license required.
Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office‑based positions in the U.S. will work a hybrid schedule of three on‑site days per week (Monday‑Thursday) with Friday remote, unless critical tasks require on‑site presence. This model does not apply to field‑based, facility‑based, manufacturing‑based, research‑based, or other positions where remote work is not feasible.
