Position Summary:

The Hospital Dietitian is responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing medical nutrition therapy to patients of all ages and diagnoses in accordance with evidence-based guidelines. The dietitian collaborates closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal nutrition care is integrated into the overall treatment plan.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of recent hospital experience required.
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field from an ACEND-accredited program.
• Licensed Dietitian (LD) in the state of your assignment.
• Certification in specialized areas (e.g., CNSC, CDE) preferred but not required.
• Current, valid, and active driver’s license required.
• Ability to travel using publicly available air and ground transportation.

Additional Qualifications/Skills:

• Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities.
• Proficient in electronic health records and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload and adapt to changing priorities.

Certificates, Licensures, Registrations:

Current, valid, and active license and/or certification to practice as a registered dietitian in the state of employment required. Current BLS certification from a Vibra Travels-approved vendor required; AHA preferred and may be required by some clients.
