Job Summary

Performs diagnostic cardiac and/or vascular ultrasound procedures to provide accurate imaging and measurements for physician diagnosis and treatment. Delivers immediate preliminary feedback on critical findings and assists physicians during complex cardiac and vascular procedures, including work in the OR, Hybrid Lab, Cath Lab, and CAD. Supports life-saving interventions and advanced procedures such as TAVR, SAVR, Tandem Heart, Lariat procedures, and pseudoaneurysm compression.

• Perform adult and/or pediatric cardiac ultrasound procedures, including TEE and stress echo
• Perform peripheral vascular studies (arterial, renal, transcranial Doppler)
• Review patient history and relevant clinical data prior to procedures
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment to obtain optimal diagnostic images
• Communicate abnormal or critical findings promptly to physicians and care teams
• Assist physicians during complex diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Ensure accurate documentation, reporting, and charging per departmental policy
• Maintain compliance with quality assurance, accreditation, and safety standards
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain patient confidentiality and infection control standards
• Participate in on-call rotation as required

• Minimum 6 months of related experience
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and under pressure
• Effective communication with physicians and clinical staff

• Required: High School Diploma or GED
• Preferred: Graduate of Diagnostic Medical or Cardiac Ultrasound Program

• Required:
  • RDCS or RVT (ARDMS) OR
  • RCS or RVS (CCI)
  • BLS Certification
