Description:
The CT Tech unit accepts first-time travelers. Candidates should possess CT skills and knowledge, especially in the Emergency Department and Interventional Procedures. The facility operates four CT scanners, including two in the department, one in the Emergency Department, and one in an outpatient imaging center. Scanners include a Siemens 64-slice CT scanner in the Emergency Department and three Toshiba 64-slice CT scanners in the department and outpatient.
Local candidates are not accepted. Travel experience is required. Key skills include 3D rendering techniques, performing scans of various body regions, managing patient care in acute and outpatient settings, and administering contrast media. The unit supports a patient demographic that includes neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. The daily census is approximately 450 with around 150 visits per day.
The CT Tech will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. The facility operates as a Level 2 Trauma Client, handling a variety of patient diagnoses and special procedures. Travelers may be required to float to similar units based on facility needs. Candidates should be compliant with travel regulations.
