Bank Trainer

Lead Blue Sky Bank's training and development initiatives while championing an exceptional customer experience and service culture. This role designs, delivers, and evaluates training programs that support employee development, operational excellence, sales effectiveness, and regulatory compliance.

Partnering closely with leadership, Human Resources, and departmental teams, a Trainer develops standardized training resources and onboarding programs across the organization. A key focus is preparing frontline employees, including Tellers, Personal Bankers, and Customer Service Representatives, to confidently deliver outstanding customer service and build lasting customer relationships.

This highly visible role requires regular travel between bank locations to facilitate in-person training, conduct coaching and role-playing sessions, observe customer interactions, assess training effectiveness, and support managers in developing high-performing teams committed to service excellence.

• Lead and execute Blue Sky Bank's enterprise-wide training and development strategy.
• Design and deliver engaging onboarding, training, and professional development programs for employees across all departments.
• Develop customer service and customer experience training that strengthens relationship-building and service excellence.
• Facilitate instructor-led, virtual, and hands-on learning experiences for employees and managers.
• Create role-playing and coaching opportunities that build confidence, service skills, and real-world application.
• Partner with leadership, Human Resources, and subject matter experts to identify training needs and implement learning solutions.
• Create and maintain training materials, resources, and tools that support operational consistency and compliance.
• Evaluate training effectiveness through observations, feedback, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support career development, succession planning, cross-training, and employee growth opportunities.
• Provide ongoing coaching and training support through regular travel to branch locations.
• Support organizational initiatives, system implementations, product launches, and change management efforts through effective training.
• Promote a culture of continuous learning, accountability, teamwork, and exceptional customer service.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, Communications, or a related field required. Equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.

Experience:

• 5 - 7 years of professional training, learning and development, or organizational development experience required.
• Experience creating, implementing, and managing comprehensive training programs required.
• Previous training experience within a financial institution required.
• Experience developing training materials for multiple departments and varying job functions required.
• Experience utilizing learning management systems (LMS), training technologies, and adult learning methodologies preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of employee training, adult learning principles, instructional design, and organizational development practices.
• Strong understanding of banking operations, products, services, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Exceptional presentation, facilitation, coaching, and public speaking skills.
• Ability to design and deliver effective learning experiences for employees with varying levels of experience and technical proficiency.
• Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously.
