Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst
Reports To :
Chief Information Officer
The Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for managing, validating, and reporting all organizational data for Goodwill Industries of Tulsa, including POS, production, donations, accounting, and mission-related information.
Key Responsibilities- Understand business data, recognize anomalies, and proactively investigate irregularities.
- Partner with vendors and internal stakeholders to correct and prevent data issues.
- Develop and manage data ingestion processes using APIs, automated FTP, and cloud data stores.
- Mentor team members on data structures, definitions, and best practices.
- Build and maintain Power BI, Excel, and Tableau reports and dashboards.
- Collaborate across teams to define meaningful metrics and reporting requirements.
- Troubleshoot data issues and provide user training on reports.
- Ensure reporting accuracy and alignment with business requirements.
- Support cross-functional problem-solving and data-related initiatives.
- Submit required analyses and reports to Goodwill Industries International per data-sharing agreements.
- Promote analytics capabilities and provide expert guidance on data and reporting practices.
- Adhere to standard development and deployment processes in a collaborative environment.
- Experience designing and managing SQL Server or similar databases.
- Strong T‑SQL skills, including stored procedures, views, functions, and advanced queries.
- Experience with ETL processes and tools such as SSIS.
- Proficiency in BI and data warehousing, including operational data stores and datamarts.
- Skilled in presenting insights using Microsoft Power BI.
- Ability to design normalized data structures and appropriately de‑normalize when needed.
- Strong communication, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deliverables and work independently or collaboratively.
- Experience evaluating and interpreting data with business stakeholders.
- Ability to reverse‑engineer and improve legacy processes.
- Willingness to support special projects and additional duties as assigned.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, MIS, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Microsoft Azure Data Engineer Associate or similar certification preferred.
- Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate or similar certification preferred.
