Database Administrator

Tech Partners is recruiting a Database Administrator for a growing financial services organization that depends on high-performing, highly available database systems to support mission-critical business operations.

This is an opportunity for a DBA who enjoys solving performance problems, digging into execution plans, and understanding what is really happening under the hood. You'll join a collaborative Database Services team where Oracle performance tuning is a major focus, while also gaining hands-on experience across SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments.

What makes this role unique is the opportunity to work alongside an experienced Senior DBA who will serve as a mentor and technical guide. This isn't a role where you're expected to know everything on day one. It's a position designed for someone who has a solid database foundation and wants to continue growing their expertise in enterprise database administration and performance optimization.

• Learn from an experienced Senior DBA in a highly visible production environment
• Gain exposure to Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL platforms
• Work on modernization initiatives, cloud adoption, and database upgrades
• Make a direct impact on systems supporting regulated consumer financial data
• Join a team that values quality, stability, and thoughtful problem-solving

You'll support a variety of database initiatives across Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL environments, including:

• Analyzing and tuning Oracle SQL performance
• Reviewing execution plans and identifying optimization opportunities
• Supporting Oracle RAC and Data Guard environments
• Administering SQL Server instances across on-premises and cloud platforms
• Assisting with database upgrades, migrations, and patching activities
• Improving indexing strategies and database performance
• Contributing to cloud-first database initiatives
• Building documentation, operational standards, and runbooks

• Oracle Database 19c
• Oracle RAC

• Oracle RAC and/or Data Guard experience
• SQL Server performance tuning experience
• Experience with database upgrades, migrations, or patching projects
• Cloud database experience in Azure or AWS

The ideal candidate is naturally curious. When performance slows down, they want to understand why. They enjoy troubleshooting, documenting what they learn, and working through problems methodically until the root cause is understood.

They're confident enough to contribute, humble enough to learn from experienced teammates, and motivated to continue growing their skills across multiple database platforms.

Strong preference for candidates located in the Tulsa, Oklahoma area who can work onsite with the team three days per week. Candidates located in the Tempe, Arizona area may also be considered.
