Employee Responsible for marine cargo underwriting activities and P&L responsibility, managing UW relationship with intermediaries and business partners in the area of underwriting service delivery, product development and innovation.

*** Take charge of underwriting and profit & loss responsibilities for our dynamic Marine Cargo portfolio.
* Build and nurture strong relationships with intermediaries and business partners, driving excellence in underwriting service delivery, product innovation, and development.
* Lead the way in growing Gross Written Premium (GWP) by forging impactful connections with Major Trading Partners (MTP) and brokers.
* Commit to your ongoing technical development, striving towards the ideal Desired Achievement Level and professional growth.
* Assess risks for both new and renewal business, ensuring every decision supports profitable portfolio growth and aligns with our high standards.
* Stay ahead of the curve by closely monitoring market trends and demonstrating a keen awareness of market cycles to inform effective underwriting decisions.

*** Over 7 years’ proven expertise in the insurance sector, with a strong track record in underwriting and portfolio management
* Proficient in utilising advanced risk profiling, pricing tools, and loss modelling techniques to drive informed decision-making
* Well-established network of customer and broker relationships, enabling successful partnership cultivation and business growth
* In-depth understanding of market dynamics and conditions specific to Marine Cargo and related insurance products
* Comprehensive knowledge of class-specific underwriting and reinsurance practices, ensuring robust risk assessment and portfolio profitability
* Competent user of industry-relevant software, including Excel and departmental platforms, supporting efficient analysis and operational excellence
