Position Summary

The Property Damage Supervisor at Harbor Insurance Company is responsible for the oversight of Property Damage and Total Loss adjusters and supporting the Claims Manager in effective implementation of claims management processes and policies, as well as resolving complex issues. Successfully fulfilling the expectations of this position requires depth of claims management experience, as well as training and facilitating activities of the team to deliver the highest levels of customer service and timely resolution of claims.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Leads a team of Property Damage adjusters and Total loss adjusters (currently 6 positions) and ensures effective training, execution of claim management procedures, and compliance to regulatory and company standards and policies.
  • Provides feedback and ongoing development of each adjuster, including documentation and conducting annual performance reviews.
  • Ensures each Property Damage adjuster maintains accurate and comprehensive files, with proactive engagement and timely follow-up with all stakeholders.
  • Engages in the resolution of complex issues, escalated complaints, and other challenges.
  • Build and maintain positive business relationships and ensures highest level of service from both Property Damage and Total Loss adjusters.
  • Ensures that Total Loss adjusters promptly confirm that vehicles have been released and picked up by our salvage vendor.
  • Ensures that Total Loss adjusters accurately evaluate the value of each total loss and apply the appropriate condition rating and prior unrelated damage deduction.
  • Review and approve drafts in the Manager’s absence.
  • Communicate, report, and elevate issues to Claims Manager as necessary to advise on complex matters.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, state law and regulations, and company policies and standards.
  • Assess and recommend areas for improvement and actively engage in process improvement projects or activities as assigned.
  • Back‑up and support team members as needed to ensure a high‑functioning department and consistent success in achieving goals and outcomes.
  • Other duties as may be assigned by the Claims Manager.
Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field preferred.
  • Oklahoma Adjuster License required or ability to acquire within 60 days of employment.
  • Depth of experience as a claims adjuster or similar role.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • Bilingual, Spanish speaking is a plus, but not required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and industry‑standard web applications.

Pay range

Starting compensation $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 annually, commensurate with experience
