SUB ASL Interpreter

Grade: Varies depending on certification

Serves as a substitute interpreter when needed to provide communication access for a deaf or hard of hearing individual between spoken and sign language communication.

• Completion of an interpreter training program, or
• Bachelor’s degree, or
• Three or more years of experience in deaf education or interpreting in non-educational settings.

• RID Certification
• NAD Level IV or better
• QAST Level III or better
• Signed Exact English Level 3.5 or better
• NIC Certification
• EIPA Level 3.5 or higher in relevant area

Minimum of 10 hours annually, with documentation due by January 31st.
