We are seeking an experienced Truckload Logistics Coordinator to manage day-to-day transportation and brokerage activities for assigned customers. This position coordinates truckload and LTL shipments from order entry through delivery while providing exceptional service to customers, carriers, and vendors. The ideal candidate has previous transportation or freight brokerage experience, understands the fast-paced nature of logistics, and is comfortable negotiating rates, solving problems, managing multiple shipments, and communicating with customers and carriers throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate daily truckload and LTL brokerage shipments
- Enter and process customer orders and coordinate with carriers
- Communicate with customers, vendors, suppliers, and transportation providers
- Negotiate carrier rates and provide transportation quotes
- Tender loads and prepare Bills of Lading, rate agreements, and related shipping documentation
- Track critical, expedited, and truckload shipments and communicate delays or delivery concerns
- Process carrier packets and monitor carrier qualifications and CSA safety information
- Assist with routing, dispatch coordination, and shipment problem resolution
- Identify capacity issues and operational concerns and elevate when necessary
- Manage assigned shipments while working toward established margin goals
- Maintain accurate documentation and records
- Assist with special projects and other logistics-related responsibilities as needed
- Minimum 3 years of transportation experience, preferably in a truckload, freight brokerage, or third-party logistics (3PL) environment
- Knowledge of truckload/LTL transportation and freight brokerage processes
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Comfortable negotiating rates and working directly with carriers
- Strong computer and data-entry skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple shipments in a fast-paced environment
- Positive, professional attitude with the ability to take initiative
- Strong problem-solving skills and commitment to continuous improvement
