** Purpose Statement:
** Responsible for overseeing the entire plant's Quality Assurance and Food Safety programs. This role requires daily supervision and guidance of Quality Assurance.
** Position Summary**:

Oversee Quality Assurance programs for the plant, managing the shift effectively.
** Responsibilities**:
* Conduct inspections and audits across all quality performance phases (raw materials, production, packaging, distribution, Food Safety Plan/ HACCP, GMPs, etc.).
* Enforce QA policies, procedures, and directives to meet company, customer, and government expectations, providing necessary feedback and ensuring corrective actions.
* Lead the plant's SQF certification program and perform customer and annual SQF audits.
* Develop and uphold the Food Safety and HACCP plan, train plant personnel on quality programs.
* Communicate with State Dept of Agriculture/ FDA representative regarding inspections and maintain various quality programs (Pest Control, Self-Inspection, Supplier Management, Safety, Microbiological Testing, and Food Defense).
* Collaborate with Plant Manager to ensure proper facility maintenance and housekeeping.
* This position has supervisory responsibilities.
** Qualifications
* ** Bachelor's Degree in an applicable technical field – Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, Engineering, etc.
* 5+ of quality control experience in food manufacturing.
* Proficiency in HACCP, SSOP, and SOP
