Class A Fitter Welder

Pay: $34–$36/hour DOE (5+ years manufacturing experience required)

Hours: Monday–Thursday | 6:00 AM–4:30 PM

Overtime: Friday & Saturday | 6:00 AM–2:15 PM as needed

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Class A Fitter Welder to join a high‑level fabrication team in Tulsa. The Class A Fitter Welder will work on waste heat recovery equipment designed and built to ASME Code, including gas boilers, firetubes, watertubes, steam drums, economizers, superheaters, and pressure vessels.

Welding & Fitting Tests Required
  • 6''Sch 80 – 6G GTAW (Stringer/Hot Pass)
  • SMAW Fill + Cap
  • 3G FCAW – 1/2” Plate Test
  • Fitter Test
Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and welding procedures
  • Perform layout, cutting, fitting, and tacking of pressure and non‑pressure parts
  • Work with cylinders, nozzles, tubes, tube sheets, headers, structural components, and more
  • Utilize precision leveling equipment to ensure accurate orientation
  • Perform welding using FCAW, SMAW, and GTAW processes
  • Weld in all positions—flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead
  • Work with carbon steel, stainless steel, chrome, and nickel alloys
  • Use carbon arc gouging and cutting torch proficiently
  • Meet all ASME Code, company, and client requirements
  • Perform additional shop duties as needed
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing/fabrication environment (required)
  • Ability to pass X‑rays and other NDT testing
  • Strong math skills and mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to read and follow technical drawings and weld procedures
  • Experience with pressure vessels or ASME‑coded equipment is highly preferred
  • Strong safety record and ability to work in a fast‑paced heavy fabrication setting
