Position SummaryThe Shipping Technician I is responsible for the proper movement of finished product from production to the cooler racking for storage.
Ownership / Responsibilities- Complete pre‑shift inspection of forklifts and submit required daily inspection paperwork.
- Ensure proper rotation of product is loaded using FIFO system.
- Operate powered or manual low‑lift trucks in a safe manner.
- Inspect trailers for cleanliness based on SQF guidelines.
- Ensure all paperwork has been completed for pre/post shift activities.
- Log finished product in inventory when placed on cooler racks.
- Ensure assigned areas is cleaned and sanitized per SSO guidelines.
- Ensure utilization of dock locks when loading trucks.
- Ensure all forklifts are placed on charge before leaving for the day.
- Inspect loading equipment for defects and report deficiencies to management.
- Inspect trailers meet required temperature of 36 degrees before loading product.
- Responsible for the distribution of product donations as requested.
- Must be able to work overtime and weekends as required.
- Uphold and participate in all Corporate Responsibility programming including recycling, social advocacy and MMAD volunteering opportunities.

- This position has responsibilities related to Food Quality and Safety.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Applicants must have the ability to read and comprehend instructions and perform basic mathematical functions.
- A valid driver’s license and a forklift and electric pallet jack certification will be required upon job placement.
- Required to use hands to handle, reach with hands and arms.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable being exposed to moving mechanical parts, wet and/or humid conditions, occasionally exposed to extreme cold.
