Position: Structures Mechanic with on-the-job-training

Overview

Responsibilities
  • Work with engineering requirements, work orders, prints, charts, sketches, work instructions, documents, verbal and electronic information to manufacture to quality requirements, parts and assemblies.
  • Setup and perform all manual assembly operations and related machine functions required to accomplish assignments.
  • Use precision measuring instruments required to accomplish tasks.
  • Assemble and mate structural parts and assemblies by drilling, routing, reaming, countersinking, spotfacing, counterboring and installing fasteners utilizing hand‑powered tools.
  • Qualified candidate will need to successfully pass a skills demonstration.
  • Utilize tooling in the assembly of components into sub‑assemblies or end items.
  • Verify work performed is per work instructions and meets process and/or engineering specification. Identify discrepancies found per applicable procedure.
  • Ensure equipment and tool certification occurs per procedure.
  • Perform work within allotted schedules.
  • Support the continuous flow of product within the manufacturing process by training and assisting employees at all classification levels.
Qualifications
  • All Candidates must pass The Work Keys Assessment () or provide verification that they have passed The Work Keys Assessment. Delay in completing your Work Keys Assessment will result in a delay in your start date. You may complete your assessment in advance of an interview.
  • All Candidates must be able to work any shift.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a manufacturing/production setting.
  • Background in aerospace/aviation.
  • Knowledge of hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
