Position Summary:
The Soil Production employee performs tasks involved in receiving and preparation of soiled healthcare linens for the laundering process. The Soil Production employee follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible. The employee in this role must exhibit accountability and flexibility in a fast paced, goal oriented, strenuous production environment.
Physical requirements include repetitive motions over the duration of an entire shift including; repeated bending, stretching, twisting, reaching, pushing/pulling and lifting as well as excessive standing. Work days are typically 5 day workweeks, Monday through Saturday. Work hours may be adjusted due to workloads. The hours are
Monday-Friday 5 a.m.
- 1:30 p.m.
- Under general supervision follow processes, work rules, and policies that are in place to meet strict safety, quality and production goals.
- Operate machinery in a safe-responsible manner.
- Wear required personal protective equipment provided (protective gloves, barrier gown/lab-type coat) when in soil area.
- Meet or exceed current production standards.
- Maintain positive and professional attitude.
- Exhibit respect towards management and co-workers.
- Notify Supervisor, in a timely manner, of any safety, mechanical or material issues.
- Housekeeping and adherence to health and safety standards.
- Must exhibit accountability and flexibility.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must report to work on a timely basis and maintain attendance in accordance with Superior Linen’s policies.

Education, Training, Experience and Licenses
Required:
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
- Previous experience in a production environment desired.
- Must ensure the right to work in the U. S.
- Must be able to communicate effectively both written and oral.
- Some computer/basic math skills may be required.
- Criminal Background Checks and Drug Testing will be required for this position.
