Manufacturing Engineer II – AAON, Inc. Job Summary
Design, develop, and evaluate integrated systems for managing industrial production processes, including human work factors, quality control, inventory control, logistics and material flow, cost analysis, and production coordination.
Essential Responsibilities- Provide engineering product support for all products (Air Handlers, Condensing Units, Sheet Metal and Coils).
- Provide and review workflow design and improvement, product changes, process changes, and capacity analysis.
- Offer direct support to production personnel with manufacturing issues, including assembly or fit of components and process improvement.
- Act as a liaison between production and engineering, making decisions concerning daily line calls and production issues.
- Develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing documentation related to part specifications, work instructions, process flow maps, and quality control/assurance.
- Work individually or in project teams to design, develop, test, and evaluate integrated systems for managing industrial production processes.
- Design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace for maximum efficiency based on current designs and products.
- Continuously evaluate designs and processes for improvements and cost savings.
Bachelor’s degree in science in engineering or related field from an accredited institution and 2 years of industry experience or equivalent experience in a similar industry.
Essential Mental Functions- Exhibit good decision making, analytical problem solving, statistical analysis, and excellent organizational abilities.
- Communicate effectively, both written and spoken, and possess excellent interpersonal relationship skills.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to work in conditions below 32°F or above 90°F on occasion.
- May be required to work any shift on occasion and travel may be required on occasion.
