The Industrial Engineer Co‑op will be involved with analyzing, improving, and supporting manufacturing processes. This role drives operational excellence by applying lean methodologies, and data‑driven problem solving to improve productivity, safety, cost, and quality. This individual will work closely with production supervisors, product development teams, and other engineers to achieve business unit production goals.
What You’ll Be Doing- Support production leaders by helping coordinate daily schedules and workforce planning using data, standard work, and process insights.
- Monitor day‑to‑day workflow to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities, keeping operations running smoothly and ensuring products meet quality expectations and delivery timelines.
- Assist with hands‑on training and onboarding, supporting standard work and process documentation to help team members learn and follow standard operating procedures.
- Work with teams across the facility to help identify and resolve operational challenges through collaboration and problem‑solving.
- Take part in real continuous improvement projects using Lean and continuous improvement tools aimed at boosting productivity and reducing waste.
- Help promote a safe and compliant work environment by reinforcing safety standards and company policies while supporting consistent and efficient daily operations.
- Enrollment in a related bachelor’s degree program such as Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Engineering Technology, Business, Operations Management, or Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- On track to graduate in the next two years or less.
- A curious mindset with a strong interest in improving processes and finding better ways of working through data, analysis, and problem‑solving.
- Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills, with a Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement mindset, as well as emotional intelligence and self‑awareness.
- Demonstrated ability in conflict resolution, team accountability, high engagement, adaptability, and resilience when working with diverse teams in a fast‑paced environment.

You will interact and network with the intern & co‑op group across the U.S. (about 50 total college students) - Meet Our Executives:

Greenheck Group takes pride in providing competitive pay. The starting base pay range for this position is $23/hour - $27/hour and may vary based on type of position and school seniority.
