McElroy Welders work at our Admiral facility where components are produced in a climate‑controlled environment. Welders must have proven experience and success fitting welding parts that adhere to schematics and blueprints. They use precision measuring equipment frequently to conduct meticulous first article inspection to ensure parts are as accurate as possible. Welders read, interpret, and act on requirements and specifications of blueprints to layout parts on their weld tables.
They work with a variety of metals and know the appropriate welding techniques utilizing MIG, TIG, and Flux‑core processes.
The opening is for 2nd shift, Monday – Thursday 4:30 pm – 3 am. All 2nd shift employees receive an 11.5 % shift premium on all hours worked.

- Ability to work 2nd shift
- Basic skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- 2+ years of experience preferred
- Own or willing to purchase the minimum set of tools required for the job and a locking toolbox.
Generally, 95 % of the normal work shift requires standing, bending, squatting, and climbing while running production, inspecting work and machines, and checking procedures.
Climbing into or onto some machines is required to evaluate how a part or fixturing is progressing.
Job requires moving of material and parts weighing up to 70 pounds. Lifting devices should be used when possible. Parts must be lifted, pulled, pushed, and held in place, sometimes without benefit of material handling devices due to limited space and confined areas in and around machines.
Welders must wear protective shirts, sometimes leather protective vests, and gloves.
