Structural Steel Fabricator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Shop Technician/Fitter/Welder to join our fabrication team. The ideal candidate will be a Certified AWS Welder with experience in FCAW welding
, and a strong background working in a fabrication floor environment.

• Read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings for accurate fit-up and assembly
• Perform fit-up and weld-out of fabricated materials according to specifications
• Operate shop equipment including saws, iron workers, and other fabrication tools
• Stock and organize steel supplies and maintain an efficient workspace
• Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time

• AWS Welding Certification (FCAW required)
• Proven experience in a fabrication or welding shop environment
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and prints
• Familiarity with standard shop tools and machinery
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Ability to lift and move heavy materials
• Standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods
