Manufacturing Engineer II

* Job Description:

**** Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
*** Lead the design and implementation of manufacturing processes, equipment layouts, and production workflows to improve efficiency and safety.
* Analyze production data and process performance to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.
* Collaborate with product design, quality, and operations teams to ensure manufacturability and alignment with production capabilities.
* Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, work instructions, and process documentation.
* Support the introduction of new products and technologies into manufacturing by coordinating trials, validations, and training.
* Evaluate and recommend new tools, equipment, and technologies to enhance production capabilities.
* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Manufacturing Engineer I and other team members.
* Participate in cross-functional projects focused on lean manufacturing, cost reduction, and quality improvement.
* Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards in all engineering activities.
* Performs other duties as assigned.

* Education and Experience Requirements:

** Requires a four-year ABET-accredited degree in engineering or an equivalent technical degree in applied sciences; 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or process engineering role within the HVAC or a similar industry; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
** Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
*** Advanced knowledge of manufacturing processes and production systems
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and specifications
* Effective communication and leadership abilities
* Experience with process improvement tools and methodologies
* Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
* Familiarity with safety and regulatory compliance in a manufacturing environment
** Essential Mental and Physical Functions:
*** This role requires a balance of technical analysis and hands-on engagement with production operations. The engineer must be able to manage complex projects while maintaining attention to detail and safety.
* Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken form
* Strong decision-making and organizational skills
* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
* Sit or stand for up to 95% of work hours
* Periodic visits to the manufacturing floor with exposure to seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, and chemical fumes
** Work Environment:
*** The Manufacturing Engineer II works in both office and production environments, requiring flexibility and a strong safety mindset.
* Work is performed in a combination of office and factory settings
* Exposure to loud noise, dust, temperature fluctuations, and industrial equipment
* Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required when on the production floor
* Regular collaboration with engineering, quality, and production teams
* This position is designated as a safety-sensitive role and is subject to drug and alcohol testing, including random testing
* Compliance with all company safety and operational policies is mandatory
