Position: GRANT ASSISTANT

JOB SUMMARY

The Grant Assistant is responsible for supporting The Parent Child Center of Tulsa’s grant efforts, including research, writing, and reporting, working closely with the Grant Writer and VP of Development. This role also assists the VP of Development with other fundraising tasks and activities as needed.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Prospecting & Data Collection
  • Research potential companies, foundations, government entities, and individuals to increase funding sources.
  • Gather funder information and statistics needed for grant writing, including third-party research data
  • Compile and maintain supporting documents, such as financial statements, board lists, and IRS forms.
Administrative Support
  • Support management of internal grants calendar, tracking grant deadlines, reporting requirements, and deliverables in collaboration with Grant Writer.
  • Manage grant files, ensure proposals, reports, and correspondence are organized.
  • Support maintenance of narrative library.
  • Collaborate with development staff for entry of grant details in donor database (Raiser’s Edge).
  • Collaborate with development staff on the creation of templates for letters of intent, proposals, and acknowledgment letters.
  • Assist with the preparation of materials for monthly staff grants meetings
Proposal & Report Assistance
  • Create proposal and report first drafts with supervision of Grant Writer.
  • Assist with gathering program information, such as outcomes, success stories and other measurables.
  • Provide proofreading and editing assistance, ensuring consistency and clarity.
Others
  • Consistently follow The Parent Child Center of Tulsa policies, procedures, and program protocol.
  • Demonstrate agency values of compassion, respect, learning, adaptability and achievement.
  • Assist in any manner for the efficient operation of the agency or program.
  • All other duties as assigned by VP of Development.
Requirements REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • At least two years of experience with computers and experience with a word processing program.
  • Culturally sensitive to clients.
  • Supportive of volunteer roles in the agency.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • At least one year’s experience in grant writing and demonstrated success in obtaining program funding through grants.
  • Experience with excel spreadsheets.
