Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position requiring an active OK or compact RN license and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Work on a 25-bed Medical Surgical unit in a hospital setting

• Patient ratio is 1:5-6 on average

• Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 18:45 to 7:15

• Weekend shifts are required

• Floating to similar units within scope may be required

• No on-call responsibilities

• Uses Epic charting system, Epic experience preferred

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

• Candidates who were previously employed as permanent staff must have a minimum one-year separation before returning as a traveler

• Applicants residing within 75 miles are not eligible to apply as locals

• No travel pairs or groups are accepted for this assignment

• No more than 3 days of requested time off are automatically approved; no time off allowed during the first week of orientation

• Navy scrubs required

• Brief unit orientation and onsite modules will be provided during orientation
Requirements

• Active OK or compact RN license required at time of consideration

• Current BLS certification required

• 1-2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience strongly preferred

• Epic documentation experience preferred
