American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift position requiring Epic charting experience and prior travel assignment history.
Details- Work in the ICU of an acute care hospital
- Patient ratios of 1:2, with occasional 1:3
- Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (18:30-7:00)
- Required to work 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period
- Floats to Med Surg (1:5) or ER depending on census
- No on-call requirements
- Manages multiple IV drips including cardiac and vasoactive medications
- Performs central line, arterial line, and CVP setup and management
- Active RN license (Oklahoma or Compact) required at time of submission
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
- Recent Epic charting experience required within the past year
- Minimum of one successful travel assignment required with no performance or attendance issues
- Basic dysrhythmia training required
- Skilled in care of ventilated patients and interpretation of ABGs
- Experience with CRRT, hemodynamic monitoring, and post cardiac surgery care
- Experience managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
- Care for patients with conditions including CRRT, cardiac surgery/CABG, respiratory failure requiring vent management, DKA, and altered mental status
- Level 3 Trauma Center facility with 171 staffed beds
- Scrub color varies by unit
- Free parking available
- Facility maintains a zero-fault attendance policy where missed shifts are considered unexcused regardless of reason
- Required to complete pre-start modules before beginning assignment
- Candidates must complete lab work within 48-72 hours of signing
- Maximum of 5 total RTO days allowed in a 13-week assignment, with no holiday RTO and no additional time off after submittal
- No block or special scheduling requests accommodated
- First-time travelers will not be considered
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travelers
- Previous OSUMC travel or permanent employees must disclose this history
