American Traveler is hiring an Emergency Department RN with at least 2 years of ED experience and required ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS, and PALS certifications.
Details- Combined adult/pediatric general Emergency Department setting
- STEMI and Stroke Certified facility
- Patient ratio of 1:4
- Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (18:30-07:00), 36 hours per week
- Weekend shifts required
- Epic charting system used, experience preferred
- Floating to like units within scope may be required based on facility needs
- Active OK or Compact RN license required
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS, PALS
- Preferred certifications: NRP, TNCC
- Minimum 2 years of recent ED experience required
- Previous charge nurse experience required
- Prior travel experience preferred, though candidates with required similar ED experience may be considered
- Skills in pediatric, psychiatric, respiratory, neurological, cardiac, and trauma emergency care
- Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and emergency medication administration
- Proficiency in triage and isolation precautions/PPE
- Ability to apply splints and manage orthopedic trauma cases
- Provide emergency care across a wide range of adult and pediatric cases including trauma, cardiac, neurological, respiratory, and psychiatric emergencies
- Manage dysrhythmias, obtain 12-lead EKGs, and respond to multisystem organ dysfunction
- Perform triage and maintain isolation precautions using appropriate PPE
- Must reside outside a 75-mile radius to be considered for this position
- Former permanent staff must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
- No more than 3 days of RTO will be auto-approved, and no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation
- Travel pairs or groups are not accepted for this position
