American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a Burn ICU night shift position requiring prior travel experience and a OK or Compact RN license.
Details- Burn ICU unit on night shift (4x12 hours, 6:45 PM-7:15 AM)
- Option of 36 or 48 hours per week
- Patient ratio of 1:2
- Unit duties include wound care, pain management, line placement, and assisting with intubation
- Epic charting system used
- Floating required to like units within scope as needed
- Every other weekend required
- Active OK or Compact RN license required in hand
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS required in hand
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- 1:2 patient ratio experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- Teaching hospital and Trauma Level II experience preferred
- Skills in IV therapy, central/PICC line management, arterial line management, and blood product administration
- Experience with ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, ABG interpretation, and ETT/NT suctioning
- Experience with CRRT/CVVHD, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, and continuous IV sedation
- Experience managing dysrhythmias and multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
- Experience with CVA/acute stroke management and hypothermia protocols
- Provide critical care nursing to burn ICU patients, including wound care and pain management
- Assist with procedures such as line placement and intubation
- Receive brief orientation when floating to other units
- Complete non-billable onsite orientation modules (RN average 4-6 hours)
- Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be considered
- Former facility staff must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- RTO must be submitted at time of application, with no more than 3 days auto-approved and none during the first week of orientation
- No travel pairs or groups accepted
